Frequently Asked Questions
What is Bitrig?

Bitrig is a Mac app for building and shipping native Swift apps with AI. It works on real Xcode projects, compiles them with the full Xcode toolchain and the latest SDKs, and supports every Apple platform: iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, Apple TV, and Vision Pro.
What do I need to run Bitrig?

An Apple Silicon Mac running macOS Sequoia or later.
What happens to unused credits?

For Pro subscribers, unused credits roll over for one month. This means if you don’t use all your credits this month, they’ll be available next month (as long as you maintain an active subscription). Credits expire after one month of rollover. For free users, credits do not roll over.
What are credits?

Each time you chat with Bitrig to build or modify your app, credits are consumed based on the complexity of the task.
How do I cancel my subscription?

Cancel any time in Settings or through the Stripe customer portal. You'll keep access to Pro features until the end of your current billing period.
Can't find your account? Email us at support@bitrig.com and we'll help.
Which models does Bitrig use?

Bitrig runs Claude Code and Codex out of the box, using the latest models from Anthropic and OpenAI. Bitrig runs these fully loaded, with existing MCP servers, skills, and conversations.
You can also add any agent that speaks Agent Client Protocol, including OpenCode, Cursor, and Grok Build.
Do I need a paid Apple Developer account?

A paid Apple Developer Account ($99/year) is required to distribute your app to TestFlight or the App Store. You can build and test apps on your device without one.
Can I use Bitrig with an existing Xcode project?

Yes. Open any local Xcode project in Bitrig, or connect your GitHub account and import an existing repository. Either way, Bitrig builds, tests, and runs your existing schemes and targets.
With GitHub connected, Bitrig can commit and push changes back up, matching your team’s existing workflow.
