Bitrig Now Builds Apple Watch Apps

Bitrig now builds Apple Watch apps

I love my Apple Watch. I love the way it looks, the ritual of putting it on in the morning, how it’s always with me, even when my phone is in another room and my laptop is tucked away in my bag.

It’s hard to think of a more personal computer.

And yet, for such a personal device, it still mostly runs generic software. Apps built for everyone. Not software made for me.

Today, we’re excited to share:

Bitrig can now build native Apple Watch apps.

You get access to the full watchOS SDK, including support for watch face complications, Digital Crown interactions, the Double Tap gesture, and more.

You can build an independent Apple Watch app or one that pairs with a companion iPhone app. You can run it on a connected Apple Watch or in the Xcode Apple Watch Simulator.

Building an Apple Watch app with Bitrig

With Bitrig, you can easily distribute your Apple Watch apps to TestFlight and the App Store. But an app doesn’t need a million users to be great.

Maybe there’s a workout only you do. A symptom only you track. A diet only you follow. A habit you’re trying to build.

Make an app for that.
