Bitrig Can Now Publish Your Apps to the App Store

Too often, the flow of app development is interrupted by a forced detour through one of Apple’s developer portals.

Distributing on TestFlight? First you’ll need to create an app record on App Store Connect. Trying to use WeatherKit? Don’t forget to check the box on the developer site. Adding payments? Set aside an hour to configure a Subscription Group on App Store Connect.

As AI makes it faster than ever to build, test, and refine your app, navigating this labyrinth becomes all the more disruptive. It takes up a growing share of your time, and none of it makes your app any better.

Today, we’re eliminating the biggest detour of all:

Bitrig can now publish your apps to the App Store.

That means:

  • Set Up Your App Record. Create a brand-new app on App Store Connect, or connect to one that already exists.

  • Archive and Upload Builds. Bitrig archives your app and uploads it to App Store Connect, handling code signing and provisioning for you. It tracks the build as it’s processed until it's ready to distribute on TestFlight or the App Store.

  • Manage Your App Store Listing. Your listing metadata lives in your project, where you and Bitrig can edit it. Start from scratch or pull down an existing listing. Push changes to App Store Connect with one click.

  • Capture Screenshots. The most tedious part of any submission. Just ask, and Bitrig will navigate your app and take your App Store screenshots for you, across multiple device sizes and localizations.

  • Submit for Review. When your listing and build are both ready, submit for App Store review without leaving Bitrig.

Each of the steps above, you can do yourself by hand. But you can also just ask Bitrig to do it on your behalf. Hand off a single step, or say "get this ready for the App Store" and let it run the whole process.

App Store publishing works with every kind of Bitrig project, whether you create a new one from scratch, or import an existing one from GitHub or (new in this release!) a folder on your Mac. And it works for every Apple platform: iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, Apple TV, and Apple Vision Pro.

You don’t even have to be at your Mac. From Bitrig Remote, you can make a fix, upload a build, add release notes, and submit it for review. All from the iPhone in your pocket.

Somewhere on your Mac, there's a project you started and set aside. Not because the idea wasn't good, but because somewhere near the finish line the busywork piled up and the momentum ran out.

Open it in Bitrig, pick up where you left off, and this time, ship it.
